Pain testimonials

I first met Alan in 2003 having sought treatment for a strained thigh muscle whilst training for entry into the Army. Despite complaining of only one injury, Alan undertook a whole body approach, discovering other areas of concern. It was this drive to ascertain the route cause of injury and focus on the overall wellbeing of his client that saw me immediately seek out his help again in 2014 after suffering lower arm tendonitis. Something I assumed had arisen from lifting weights.

While repeating the exercise of questioning the route cause of my injury, I confessed to a number of other issues. A cracked elbow from Krav Maga, 2 wrist fractures, 4 broken jaws, a displaced clavicle, a fractured ankle, a kidney operation when I was 6, general body stiffness and a lack of balance. All of which I had just taken as par for the course in life: all of which according to Alan, severely hampered my ability to function at my best. While I won't describe the treatment here, what I will state is that the attention to detail, the listening for clues to the reasons why I suffered perennial injury, and the questioning of accepted norms lead me to believe that Alan is at the very top of his game, and should be the first port of call for any individual who isn't feeling quite at their best. I am fascinated by some of the insight he has shown me regarding the human body and its ability to perform both with and without stress.

Whilst undoubtedly he will be sought out for sporting reasons, his forte lies in any form of trauma the body has suffered. Treatment to an operational scar on my waist led me to perform a squat correctly for the first time ever. After 37 years of trying, this was no mean feat. In summary, I won't just highly recommend Alan; I would endeavour to box him as essential. If you have a concern of any physical limitation, go see Alan first. You will be surprised not just at how you feel, but what you will learn.

I've seen countless physios/chiropractors/acupuncturists etc & Alan is an absolute wizzard…he looks at your injury with a holistic perspective, goes straight to the problem & is a fountain of knowledge. He helped heal my partner of an awful injury when no one else seemed to be able to and he's helped my ankle to heal in a very short time period. Would definitely recommend a visit

1 have had 2 sessions with Alan after struggling with pain in back hips and thigh. He has made everything so easy to understand and has a wealth of knowledge I feel would be hard to beat. After leaving there today my mobility is more free and there is no pain at all! I can't wait for the next session as i am improving no end. As a medical professional myself I could not recommend Alan enough he is a true professional expert. Thank you so much I am so happy!

I have had a number of sessions with Alan after struggling with constant pain in my shoulder for over seven years from an old injury. He has a completely different approach to pain relief with a focus on the role that the nervous system plays in ongoing pain.

He explained why pain continues long after injuries are repaired. He tested me to identify my specific issue. After the first session I could already feel a significant improvement and after five sessions, my shoulder was completely well. He also worked on my foot that had been painful and numb for some years and fixed that too. I would not hesitate to return with any future pain or mobility issues. It’s life changing to be pain-free.

I saw Alan Muckle today with a variety of niggling and recurrent injuries. Despite having seen numerous therapists no one has really been able to alleviate symptoms or provide me with a logical explanation as to why they won't clear up. Following a thorough consultation, I underwent numerous tests to identify insufficiency and deficit in my nervous system. I was constantly reassessed after every intervention.

The end result was a complete alleviation in pain and a return to strength and function; this in areas where I'd experienced problems for over 20 years. Simple homework was given and clearly explained. A treatment at AM will likely be very different to what you've previously experienced. Alan's methods are unconventional but highly effective and fast-working. I can't recommend his practice highly enough.
